This car has been in two movies.
” This automobile is in great condition. This is a four door Sedan Kaiser Frazer deluxe with two tone colors exterior. I just had completed a new brake job as well as a new starter. This automobile was a star attraction in the movie Selma and Manifesto. This automobile was also used like a limo in wedding parties.”
When I look at this, it reminds me a little of a Tucker, but I can’t figure out why.
“1949 KAISER VIRGINIAN 4-DR HARDTOP
Few exist especially in Indian Ceramic with near mint original black leather interior, original paint and chrome with only 29,000 miles. When purchased
in 1977 it did not run well. Recently diagnosed the problem and fully rebuilt the engine, detailed, and replaced the clutch.
In collector’s hands for over 55 years and shows it. An unusual and reliable car for shows or touring”
The engine used was based on the Willys-Knight sleeve engine design.
“This 1910 Panhard et Levassor X7 Landaulet is a wonderful opportunity to acquire a rare, large, brass era motorcar with exceptional Laudaulet coachwork. A top level example of the motoring art. This French built Panhard et Levassor would be a great addition to any museum or private collection. Landaulet body by Rothschild with collapsible rear quarter. The coachwork interior is fit for a king or queen.
The engine is a sleeve valve type based on the Willies-Knight design and runs so quiet for a 106 year old vehicle. The engine is fully overhauled and is also fitted out with an electric starter and starting is easy. Folks knew how to travel 100 years ago. The rest of the car sports an older restoration that shows its age in a graceful, nice elegant way. Paint is good. Wood perfect. Wheels straight and tires show little to no wear. Transmission is a selective four speed. Clutch was removed and cleaned and works nice and smooth. This is one of the great motorcars.”
I used to live in Sandy. It has a good view of the Wasatch Front (mountains in the background)
“The Darren designed body and art deco steering wheel of this car makes this 1947 Kaiser Special very unique, it is equipped with 6 cyl, 3 speed manual transmission with overdrive.
Always been a southern California car no rust, never been wrecked, no bondo. Car was owned by a Kaiser club member previously, Everything works on this car including the original radio and fog lights. Has original owners manual that goes with.In 1947, the company acquired the automotive assets of Graham-Paige, of which Frazer had become president near the end of World War II. Kaiser-Frazer was the only new US automaker to achieve success after World War II, if only for a few years.

Recently, a document called The Willys Story went up for sale on eBay. Fortunately for all of us, that document sold to an eWillys reader who asked if I would make a high-resolution version available to anyone who wants it, including Willys Online folks. Given the document was a pricey purchase, it’s a very generous offer. So, a big thank you is in order for that anonymous benefactor!
The document is 85 pages and purports to show all the different aspect of the Willys-Overland Company from 1940 to 1954. You’ll see that Willys had their hands into a variety of things, not just vehicles
I’ve uploaded the file to my google drive, so downloading it should be a snap. It is just under 400MB, so it’s not a small PDF file.

(I have never used by google drive space. My test of the download worked. But, the internet sometimes works in mysterious ways, so if you have problems, please let me know!)
Below are some low res pictures of some of the car-related images. There are also many jeeps and many non vehicles photos:

Looks like a kick to drive.
“On the date appraised, this 1915 Overland Model 81 Left Hand Drive Speedster, represented a very good example of this true Brass Era American Automobile.
As noted in the digital pictures, this 100 year old speedster has been restored back to a near perfect, factory condition. However, paint is not an original factory color.
The serial number indicates it is a model 81, with the original 106” wheelbase which matches the production information. These cars were introduced in 1914, but it cannot be determined how many were produced. At production this car weighed 2901 lbs. It is a two seater somewhat modeled after the Mercer cars of the day. The round wind screen, or Monocle, provided some protection for the driver, but left the passenger to fend for themselves. This car is very rare.
The engine is rated at 42 hp but was 30 hp more than the base 12 hp of the era so it has a taxable 30 hp which is how licensing fees were determined in this era. Max speed was estimated at 60 mph as any faster was theorized to evaporate the occupants.”
The seller provides a lot of details.
“The Overland featured here is a lovely 1912 Model 61T Touring. The Model 61 was Overland’s flagship model and the largest Brass-Era Overland up to that time powered by a 270 cubic inch 45 horsepower L-head four cylinder. This is one of just seven examples known to survive and it has lovingly cared for and thoughtfully upgraded for safe and reliable touring.
First restored in the 1960s it was acquired by the well-known Brass Era enthusiasts Wendell “Ohlly” and Marilyn Ohlendorf who had seen and admired it on a Glidden Tour. It was then sold in 1979 to Don and Nancy Sonicsen of Illinois who continued to enjoy the Overland on tours for the next 25 years. Purchased from Mrs. Sonicsen in 2008 it was subsequently treated to some restoration work and mechanical freshening continuing to provide thousands of miles of enjoyment. The Overland received a high quality re-paint by John Sanders of Antique Autos of Rockford Illinois. The handsome gray and dark red combo suits the car wonderfully and the quality is excellent.
